It was clean, appropriately comfortable, spacious. Well located. - The staff was helpful , professional. The hotel is in a great location for walking out - and the street is not noisy. The terrrace was nice to have to splurge on.
Not much to be critical about but I will point out the following: For this American tourist I am used to having coffee a little more available and gratis in the hotel; I agree with everyone else the 20eu for the less than interesing breakfast fare is not a value- unless you are on an expense account. The a/c was very weak; I would also liked to have had ice and a box of tissues available. I did ask the desk to make a reservation for me at restaurant - they agreed but then didn't make the reservation. Depending on what kind of night life you are lookng this may be too far into a business district - but the location is a comfortable walk to much of the city; the large postered Metro vent right in front is an eyesore - On their website they claim to have an Airport Shuttle - they do not - or they have one for 86eu -

We really enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and their helpfulness with our requests for information about the city, attractions, restaraunts, etc. We loved that the hotel was small and when we walked in the door, we were greeted warmly, welcomed back, asked about our day. The location was within easy walking distance of so many exciting things in the city. It was nice being a short distance away from all the hustle and bustle of the major city streets as it was more quiet and comfortable.
No complaints as the staff and facilities were excellent

perfect location , friendly and clean will visit again

The staff were incredible - in particular Massimo, Claudio and Hakim. They went out of their way to make sure that the people staying there were having a good time. The location was fantastic - only 3 blocks to Placa de Catalunya, where all the tour buses pick up and La Rambla starts.
Our room had a massive round tub with a shower head but no curtains so it made showering a bit difficult. Also, I booked the hotel because it had wifi, but you could only use it in the lobby area as the signal didn't reach the rooms.

Good location and a reasonable price for what is not a cheap city.
Room was fine although the aircon did not work. Apparently they can only have heat or aircon and because it was mid Feb it was set to heat (?!!) even though it was very warm and the room got hot in the sun. They told us we should just turn of the system and open the window. Kind of makes a mockery of claiming the room is air conditioned but apart from that it was a nice stay and we would probably use the hotel again.

Very nice hotel closer to 5 star, excellent central location but yet on a quiet street, friendly staff, clean spacious room, big flat TV, luxurious room.
Internet connection was not good in the room on the 3rd floor - poor and unstable signal but worked well in the lobby.

breakfast was nice and room was beatiful and staff was very helpful
room service pizza was bad. i ordered 4 cheese and the cheese was cold in some spots and warm in others. they were stacked on top of each other very sloppy and the crust was very soggy

The one stand out feature of this hotel are the staff. They can not do enough to help! When I first arrived, for reasons I will explain later, I asked if we could change our room and I was enjoying the new room within 15 minutes! The location is quiet and free from the noise of Las Ramblas and only a 5 minute walk to Catalunya square.
There are only small things wrong with this hotel, like cracks in the bath tiles and loose fittings (shower handle). The shower head was not the right size for the holder and therefore required careful manipulation. The mini-bar is ok, but beware, regardless of what beer you drink they will always charge the higher price! Also we enjoyed breakfast in bed, which was ok; however at a cost of 56 euros not worth it. Finally, always ask to have a room away from the lifts as they are very noisey and will be a major problem for any light sleeper.

I spent 4 nights at the Roger de Lluria Hotel to celebrate my 50th birthdayat the end of Jan 2012. During my extensive search this hotel was one of the few that always had excellent reviews and I felt confident that I would enjoy my time in Barcelona. I can honestly say it did not disappoint, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was large, beds comfortable and we were provided with fresh toiletries every day. Wi-Fi worked in our room (304) with no problem at all. I even received a bottle of bubbly on my birthday which was a lovely surprise. The hotel is situated 3 blocks from the Placa de Catalunya and the area feels safe enough to walk around at night but is close enough to the main sites of Las Ramblas, etc. Overall we had an excellent time and I would not hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend.

Christina was absolutely wonderful, she was so friendly and very informative on all our questions about Barcelona. Thank you for a lovely trip and we will defintely stay with you again.

This hotel was lovely. It was understated but had all the comforts. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location is excellent. It is a 5-10 minute walk to many of the sites. Yet is is located on a quiet street. It is very close to the metro and Placa Catalunya ( one of the main tourist areas in Barcelona).
The breakfast in the morning is expensive if it is not included in your room. The coffee is not great. The food is fine. It is not a large hotel, so it does not have a concierge desk or a health club. However, the employees at the front desk are very helpful.
